Imran Khan in deep trouble
In a historical decision Pakistan Supreme court has rejected decision of the Deputy Speaker wrong. The Deputy Speaker had rejected No Confidence Motion against Imran Khan Government on Sunday, following which Khan dissolved the National and State assembly.
The Supreme Court on Thursday late evening termed the decision wrong and has allowed the National Assembly to function. The voting on the No Confidence motion will be held on April 9.
The decision has been welcomed by the Opposition, which hd gathered in large number outside the Supreme Court. The Apex Court took time to review the decision to dissolve the National Assembly and proceedings when the No confidence Motion was moved. Imran Khan was facing inadequate support to prove his majority in the National assembly. He was left with only 142 supporters when the required number was 199.
The President had accepted Khan’s proposal of dissolving the Asembly andconduct fresh elections. The Supreme Court has stated that the other party should have been given the opportunity to prove majority before dissolving the Assembly.
