The dedication of first phase of Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg to public has been postponed due to damages caused to some arch strips accidently. It is expected that the work of wildlife overpass with new method of super structure would be completed in about one-and-a-half months.
Then, the stretch from Nagpur to Selu Bazaar would be thrown open for traffic. The work of wildlife overpass is in progress at 15 th km milestone, which is being done with super structure arch system. It was expected that the work would be completed by April 30 but when the work was in final stage some arch strips out of 105 got damaged due to accident.
The experts visited the spot to inspect and suggested to construct the work with new super structure system. Now, this work is likely to be completed in about one-and-a-half months, says a press note issued by Tushar Ahire, PRO, Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd., on Monday.
