Veteran actor Salim Ghouse passed away on Thursday. He was 70-year-old.
Salim was one of the most familiar faces of television in 80s. He worked in several films and television shows, but he gained popularity after starring in Doordarshan’s TV series Subah
Salim Ghouse also played several roles, which were loved by the audience. Rama, Krishna, Tipu Sultan in Shyam Benegal’s TV series Bharat Ek Khoj were some of them. When it comes to films, Salim was part of Manthan, Kalyug, Chakra, Saaransh, Mohan Joshi Hazir Ho, Trikal, Aghaat, Drohi, Thiruda Thiruda, Sardari Begum, Koyla, Soldier, Aks, Vettaikaaran Well Done Abba & Kaa and others.
Besides this, he also gave his voice in several films like The Lion King and 300.
Salim was a graduate of FTII Pune. During his last years, the veteran actor was busy with his theatre work in Mumbai.
