The International Spirits & Wines Association of India (ISWAI), an apex body of the Indian Premium Alcoholic Beverage Industry, wishes the Government of Maharashtra and its citizens peace, progress, and prosperity on the occasion of the 62nd State Formation Day – “Maharashtra Day†– that falls on 1st May, 2022.
On this significant occasion, Ms. Nita Kapoor, Chief Executive Officer, ISWAI, said, “Maharashtra, known as Mayanagri or the City of Dreams, is one of the most progressive and industrialized states in the country with a cosmopolitan, forward-looking culture. Mumbai’s importance as an economic hub and financial capital of India makes it central in achieving our dream of becoming a top global economic powerhouseâ€.Â
Ms. Kapoor further added, “The ancient Ajanta caves have been listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of India. The hub of the Indian film industry (Bollywood), Maharashtra displays unity among diversity. We extend our best compliments to the state and its citizens on the occasion of its 62nd State Formation Dayâ€.
Congratulating the Maharashtra Government and its citizens, Mr. Suresh Menon, Secretary-General, ISWAI, said, “Maharashtra holds considerable significance for ISWAI and its members. We are committed to deepening our engagement across all stakeholders in the state, emphasizing quality and responsible consumption. ISWAI members have collaborated with Government agencies and run various initiatives and campaigns to curb malpractices in the AlcoBev sector and to promote the concept of ‘drink less, drink better’.â€
He further stated, “We take this opportunity to once again compliment the Maharashtra government on the recent progressive decision to upgrade the liquor shops that will provide a superior consumer experience and bring convenience & comfort to the consumers.â€
