Satyandra Singh Solanki, noted artiste from Bhopal in MP, enthralled members of audience by playing santoor in ‘Brahmanaad’, an early morning musical event, organised by South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) in its premises in Civil Lines on Sunday.
The programme was organised at 6.30 am under Aazadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava. The santoor playing was dedicated to Late Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, prominent santoor artiste, and Pandit bhajan Sopori.
Abhay Gokhale, Trustee of a Goshala in Khapri, and Dr Dipak Khirwadkar, Director, SCZCC, lit the traditional lamp to mark inauguration of the event. Shashank Dande, Programme Executive, was also present. Solanki began santoor playing with ‘Raag Parmeshwari Me Aalap Jod Zala’, then presented ‘Zaptaal me Nibaddh Get’ and ‘Drut Teen Saal’ and concluded with ‘Raag Pahadi Me Dhun’ and received applauses. Ramendra Singh Solanki accompanied on table. Vrushali Deshpande compered the programme that was well attended by music lovers.
