Nagpur Smart & Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDC) will construct 100 e-toilets at 50 different places in the city for the convenience of the citizens.
The board of directors of NSSCDC took a decision in this connection in its meeting held here on Tuesday. Dr Sanjay Mukherjee, Mentor of Smart City and Chairman from Mumbai was virtually present. Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator, Aniruddha Shenwai, Ashish Mukim, Members, Chinmay Gotmare, Chief Executive Officer, Bhanupriya Thakur, Company Secretary, Neha Zha, Chief Finance Officer, and others were present in the meeting.
The decision has been taken to construct e-toilets for men and women in cooperation with Nagpur Municipal Corporation at a cost of Rs 11.68 crore while the process for construction would begin shortly.
Similarly, the meeting passed a resolution to develop three libraries and convert them into e-libraries in cooperation with Education Department of NMC. The libraries include: Pt Deendayal Upadhaya Library, Laxminagar, Kasturba Library, Sadar and Kundanlal Gupta Library, Imambada.
Gotmare informed that a decision has also been taken in the meeting regarding making six e-schools with the facilities of computers, internet etc for school students.
