Singers in ‘Naadbrahmaâ€, a programme on Abhagwaani and devotional songs mesmerised the audience by their performance.
The programme was organised by South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) in cooperation with Shri Janardan Swami Yogabhyasi Mandal in Gargi Hall, Ramnagar, at 6.30 pm to mark Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava on Saturday. The event was dedicated to Rani Laxmibai of Zhansi. Shrirampant Maharaj Joshi, noted Kirtankar, Adv Anand Parchure, CA Kunal Ekbote, Dr Dipak Khirwadkar, Director, SCZCC, and Rambhau Khandewe, President of yogabhyasi mandal lit the traditional lamp to mark inauguration of the event.
Dr Khirwadkar welcomed the guests and felicitated Shrirampant Maharaj Joshi.
The programme began with presentation of ‘Jai Jai Ram Krishna Hari’ devotional song, followed by ‘Kaaya Hi Pandhri Aatma Ha Vitthal’, ‘Maze Maher Pandhri, ‘Punya Par Upakar’, ‘Indrayani Kaathi’ ‘Baaje Re Muraliya’, ‘Tirth Vitthal Kshetra Vitthal’l, ‘Kanhoba Tuzi Gogadi’ and others that received repeated clappings. Artistes also presented abhangs sung by Bharat Ratna Pt Bhimsen Joshi.
Ruturaj presented the programme while Mugdha Tapas conceptualised it. Gunvant Ghatwai was the main singer while Shrikant Pise, Moreshwar Dahasahatra, Ashish Gaidhane, Jayant Upgade and Ravi Dhoke were the accompaniments. Dipak Kulkarni, Asst Director, SCZCC, and Shashank Dande, Programme Officer, were prominently present.
