·      It recorded average rainfall of 545.8 mm during current monsoon
Nagpur division consisting of Nagpur, Gondia, Bhandara, Wardha, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts recorded an average rainfall of 45.8 mm during the last 24 hours. The people living at the banks of rivers and nullahs are warned to remain vigilant by shifting to safer places in view of heavy rains that lashed 12 tehsils in the division.
The tehsils experiencing heavy rains in mm include: Nagpur district: Saoner – 122.9, Nagpur rural – 101.1, Umrer – 94.5, Kuhi – 88.5, Nagpur city – 82.7, Parseoni – 65.1, Kamptee – 64.3, Bhandara district: Lakhandur – 83.0, Gondia district: Gondia – 81.3, Morgaon-Arjuni – 81.0, Gadchiroli district: Korchi – 78.3, and Chandrapur district: Nagbhir – 707.
Following are the figures of average rainfall in mm during last 24 hours occurred in the districts with figures (in brackets) of rainfall registered till today – Nagpur – 72.5 (530.6), Gondia – 52.8 (555.5), Bhandara – 42 (492.1), Wardha – 34.6 (513), Chandrapur – 38.6 (645.1) and Gadchiroli – 18.2 (532.2).
The average rainfall in Nagpur division from June 1 to July 15 is – 545.8 mm.
