After a dry spell for over a week, Nagpurians heaved a sigh of relief from the humid weather on Thursday as the city received thunderstorm accompanied with lightnings and light to moderate rainfall at isolated places over half-an-hour.
Apart from Nagpur, the Regional Meteorological Centre issued warnings for Akola, Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Wardha, Washim and Yavatval districts for today. It has also issued yellow warnings for all districts in Vidarbha till August 6. The yellow warning issued for heavy rainfall at Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts on August 7. The department has issued yellow warnings for heavy rainfalls at Amravati, Nagpur, Wardha and orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall at Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli and Gondia districts on August 8.
