Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Matrix Warriors Organisation jointly presented flash mob and street plays in front of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Administrative Building, Civil Lines, and at Swami Vivekanand Memorial, Ambazari, on Thursday under ‘Ghar Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
At the outset, Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator of NMC, handed over the tricolour to Aditya Khobragade, President of the MWO, to mark beginning of the programme that would be held at various places in the city upto August 15.
In today’s programme, Khobragade, Abhishek Urkude, Secretary, Akash Nikhade, Nandini Mendjoge, Shailesh Bhalme, Adarsha Dudhankar and 40 boys and girls took part. They performed dances on patriotic songs and promoted national feelings among the citizens by mentioning valuable services rendered by Jhansi chi Rani, Chandrashekhar Azad, Subhashchandra Bose and great statement in the interest of the nation. They also staged skit pointing out how many difficulties came in for attaining independence. The programme concluded with giving slogans like ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jay’, ‘Vande Mataram’ and others.
The group will present flash mob and street plays at Keshavnagar High School, Nandanva, Tiranga Chowk, at 5 pm on August 12, Samvidhan Chowk at 11 am and Futala lake at 5 pm on August 13, Laxminagar Chowk at 9 am and Chitnis park at 8 pm on August 14 and at Kasturchand Park at 4 pm on Independence Day.
Top officials of the corporation were present in the programme.
