The consistent rise in Corona cases in Delhi is a warning for other cities. The Delhi administration is on high alert and the government has issued fresh restrictions.
Using a face mask has been made mandatory in Delhi to prevent the further spread of the infection. The Government has also stated that violation of the rule will invite a fine of Rs 500.
The health machinery has been emphasising use of masks in crowded places. Although the number of cases in most areas of the country has gone down, precautionary measures are still important. During the last few weeks rise in the number of cases reported from various cities, Delhi being the most affected.
According to the health department, 8,205 active cases are reported in Delhi. In India, active cases are 1,25,076. Although the recovery rate if 98.53 percent, the rate of active cases is 28 percent and the death rate is 1.19 percent.
In Maharashtra, 11,889 persons are under treatment. The cumulative figure of deaths due to Corona is 1,48,157.
Nagpur also is experiencing a rise in Corona cases. The district reported 80 positive cases on Thursday and the number of active cases is 842.
Negligence on the part of common people can aggravate the problem. The majority of those suffering are senior citizens.
