Officers and employees of Nagpur Municipal Corporation took out Tiranga Bike Rally from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Administrative Building premises in Civil Lines to Town Hall in Mahal on Friday to mark Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava.
Officials, employees and jawans of Nuisance Detection Squad gave encouraging response by participating in the rally at began at 11 am. Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator of NMC, himself took part in the rally by riding a two-wheeler.
A team of Fire Brigade led the rally in which Chinmay Gotmare, Chief Executive Officer, Smart & Sustainable City Development Corporation Ltd, Deepak Kumar Meena, Ram Joshi, both additional Municipal Commissioners, Pradeep Khawse, Chief Engineer, Ravindra Bhelawe, Deputy Commissioners, Manoj Talewar, Superintending Engineer, Mahesh Dhamechha, Ashok Patil, Asstt Commissioners, Rajendra Uchke, Chief Fire Brigade Officer, and others took active part in the bike rally.
The rally passed through Liberty talkies, Chhaoni Square, Byramji town, mental Hospital Chowk, Old Katol Naka Chowk, Japanese Garden, Ladies Club, G S College Square, Shankar Nagar, Rani Jhansi Square, Loha Pul new underpass, Mokshdham Square, Reshimbag Chowk, Jagnade Chowk, Natraj talkies and Town Hall, where it culminated with the National Anthem.
