More than 50 people were injured after three bogies of a passenger train derailed in Gondia, Maharashtra, early Wednesday morning.
There were no fatalities in the incident, which occurred at 2.30 a.m. when a passenger train collided with a goods train.
The passenger train was travelling from Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur to Rajasthan’s Jodhpur.
According to reports, the event occurred owing to signalling problems.
The driver applied the emergency brake, but it was insufficient to avoid crashing with the freight train.
