MSME-DFO, Nagpur, MoMSME, GoI organized Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) on August, 17 at MSME-DFO Conference Hall, Nagpur.
The main objective of the Awareness programme was to create awareness about entrepreneurship and encourage the youth for self-employment. The programme was organized with the initiative and guidance of P.M. Parlewar, Director, MSME-DFO, Nagpur.
Swati Shahi, Joint Development Commissioner, O/o Development Commissioner (MSME) Govt. of India, New Delhi who was on an official visit to Nagpur graced the programme as Chief Guest. Dr. V.R. Sirsath, Joint Director, MSME-DFO Nagpur, Ajay Rathod, Factory Inspector, DIC, Rakesh Kumbhare, Manager, Bank of India and Parinita Pandhram, Asstt. Director, MSME-DFO Nagpur were present on the dais.
In the beginning, Dr. V.R. Sirsath, Joint Director, MSME-DFO, Nagpur welcomed the dignitaries on the dais and the participants and appealed to the participants to take benefit of the programme.
He encouraged the youth to start their own enterprises from a young age. He said for starting a business there are no restrictions of age, qualification etc. Anybody can start a business on small scale initially and become successful. By becoming self-employed they can give employment to others. He said that there is a necessity to do SWOT analysis. He explained the four ways of earning income through cash flow quadrant example.
Sirsath also explained in brief about the various schemes of the Ministry of MSME.
In her Chief Guest address Swati Shahi, JDC welcomed all the participants and expressed satisfaction that youth are interested in entrepreneurship.
She said that hard work is the key to success in any field. There is no shortcut to success.
She also stressed on SWOT analysis. She said that today’s youth is very much aware and capable to take decisions as far as choosing their career. She said that nothing is easy but there is a need to take firm decisions and risk-taking capacity.
In entrepreneurship, there are immense opportunities. The sky is the limit. You have to take decisions as per your mindset. She explained that for becoming successful in business, 5 things are required-Vision, Passion, assistance (Financial assistance) Technology know-how and marketing skills (How to market their products).
She said MSMEs are the growth engine of all the developed countries of the world. She encouraged the young participants, prospective entrepreneurs to become job providers and not job seekers.
In the end, she wished all the participants for a bright future by becoming successful entrepreneurs.
In the technical sessions, Ajay Rathod, DIC explained the schemes of DIC through his presentation.
Rakesh Kumbhare, Bank official explained the schemes of Bank for the prospective and existing entrepreneurs and asked the participants to take benefit of the schemes.
P.T. Doifode, Asstt. Director, MSME-DFO Nagpur explained the participants on various schemes of MSME and asked the participants to take benefit of the schemes. He also explained them regarding Udyam registration process.
Parineeta Pandhram, Asstt. Director, MSME-DFO and Programme co-ordinator took interactive session and also gave presentation on MSME schemes. He proposed a vote of thanks.
