Sensation prevailed in the Mankapur area on Friday night after some car-borne gang kidnapped Pradeep Motiramani, Principal of Mahatma Gandhi Primary School.
According to the preliminary report, the fast action of police helped trace down Motiramani and he was rescued within 24 hours. He is now taken to the police station for further questing.
A resident of Jaripatka, the Principal was missing since last night. When his daughter called, kidnappers picked up the phone and demanded a ransom of Rs 30 lakh.
He had left the house last night on his two-wheeler, but when he did not return home till late night and tried to reach him.
Soon after the family reached Jaripatka police station early in the Saturday morning and informed them about the kidnapping of Motiramani.
His two-wheeler was found parked in front of Alexis Hospital in Mankapur. Now it has become more complicated. Why did Motiramani go to that hospital?
According to a report in a Hindi news channel, the kidnapped Principal Motiramani was the key witness in Deepak Bajaj case.
Bajaj is the Director of Mahatma Gandhi School. He was accused of having disproportionate assets and misusing his position as a Principal of Mahatma Gandhi Centennial School.
According to reports the State Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in the year 2015 registered an offence against city educationist Deepak Bajaj who is accused of having disproportionate assets and misusing his position as principal of Mahatma Gandhi Centennial School in Jaripatka.
The agency had conducted an uninterrupted 20-hour search at Bajaj’s Jaripatka residence during which more than 18 lakhs cash, around 49 tolas of gold, silver and other valuables worth around 2.73 crores were found.
