After a long wait, Ganpati Bappa returned to the mandals with great zeal across the city to bless the devotee’s good health and happiness in their lives.
The auspicious 10-day festival of Ganesh Chaturthi began on August 31. This year the devotees welcomed lord Bappa with all love and enthusiasm.
This year many Ganesh Mandals have joined hands with civic authorities to keep the virus at bay and celebrate the festival. Over the years we all have seen numerous themes in Ganesh Pandol celebrating the victory of good over evil.

Many Ganesh mandals are celebrating Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav as well. Apart from this Ganesh mandals are celebrating ‘Sanskrituk Ganeshotsav’ to promote art, culture and traditions.
The famous Hill Top Cha Raja is celebrating its 33 years. This year the mandal has set up Ganesh Idol in the attire of a lawyer. This year Ekta Ganesh Mandal made a replica of the Supreme Court of India.
This year Laxmi Nagar youth association is celebrating it’s 51st year and for that, they have a theme of Coronavirus and ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ as now we are azad from the deadly corona said Rajesh Rameshwar Jaiswal President, Tushar Prakash Magar Vice-president.
Bajaj Nagar Yuva Ganesh Mandal NBYS Ground has set a theme of Kedarnath. They have also commemorated the freedom fighters with a picture gallery. Sports dance competition, drawing handwriting competition, along with cooking competition has been kept for the devotees of all age said Anand Mathankar member.
