In the wee hours of Tuesday, a luxury automobile caught fire on Mumbai’s Western Express Highway, and Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, stopped his convoy to help the person in the car.
A video surfaced on social media platforms in which CM Shinde was seen speaking to the car driver.
According to a fire officer, no one was hurt in the incident that occurred in the Vile Parle neighbourhood on the expressway, Mumbai’s main north-south arterial artery.
At 12.25 in the morning, a call about the incident was made to the fire department. He claimed that after two fire engines arrived at the scene, the fire was put out.
The chief minister asked the driver’s name, who identified himself as Vikrant Shinde. and assured help before leaving.
