Nagpur Municipal Corportion has kept its machinery ready to tackle the problems of the people without any loss of time due to heavy rains recently in the city. The control room is functioning for 24 hours to register the complaints and take immediate action against water-logging, unearthing of trees etc.
On Tuesday, it has received a complaint about felling of a tree on the road in front of ‘Ramgiri’, official residence of the Chief Minister. The staff of NMC rushed to the spot, cut the tree and cleared it for smooth traffic movement. Another complaint was received about gushing of rain water in the basement of Mangalam Apartment in front of Ganeshpeth Police Station.
The workers started pumping out the water. Similarly, NMC received a complaint about falling a man in Ghogli nullah, Besa, under the jurisdiction of Hudkeshwar Police Station and then Narendra Nagar Fire Brigade men reached the spot and started for searching him.
