In a financial fraud case, Pramod Manmode, secretary of Nirmal Ujwal Cooperative Credit Society, was denied anticipatory bail by the sessions court on Tuesday.
The court ruled that Manmode must be detained by police while the case is investigated. This decision was made by Judge G P Deshmukh.
On the basis of a complaint filed by Kunal Yelne to the Economic Offences Wing, a FIR was filed against Manmode, society’s Kamptee branch manager Sachin Bomble, and 12 directors under Sections 420, 409, 109, and 120-B of the IPC.
Manmode and 12 directors had applied for pre-arrest bail in the sessions court. Except for Manmode, the court granted conditional pre-arrest bail to all of the accused on Tuesday. Bomble, who was apprehended by police, had misappropriated Rs 3.46 crore.
