Maharashtra Government has constituted a sub-committee to work out plan for granting reservation to Maratha community. The sub-committee will be headed by Higher Education Minister Chandrakant Patil.
Revenue Minister Radhakrishna Wikhe-Patil, Rural Development Minister Girish Mahajan, Ports Development Miinister Dada Bhuse, Excise Minister Shambhuraj Desai and Industries Minister Uday Samant will other members of the sub-committee. It will study and take action relating to social, educational, economic status of Maratha community and other related issues.
