Nagpur Municipal Corporation launched ‘Mata Suirakshit Tar Ghar Surakshit’ (If Mother Is Safe Then Home Is Safe) campaign for women above 18 years of age and pregnant women with Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator of NMC, inaugurating a free health camp at Pachpaoli maternity home on Tuesday.
NMC is organising health camps in all the ten zones during Navratri festival till October 5 in which doctors will examine their health, conduct cancer screening, treatment and guidance to women.
Addressing the gathering, Radhakrishnan said, the health machinery of the corporation is committed to provide services and appealed to women to take maximum benefit of various camps being held in the city. He interacted with the women to know their difficulties and then visited an exhibition in the premises on nutritious food. Health volunteers gave him information about nutritious food given to pregnant women.
