A blue bull that was rescued from Sonegaon nullah on Tuesday died in the night while undergoing treatment at Transit Treatment Centre, Seminary Hills.
The blue bull that had strayed from the nearby jungle was first found yesterday in Jaiprakash Nagar garden. Upon getting information, forestmen searched for the herbivore and found it at Sonegaon nullah.
Some stray dogs were also after the wild animal. After rescue of the blue bull forestmen found injuries and sent it to the centre for treatment. However, it is reported that the blue blue died in the night.
Meanwhile, Forest Department has appealed to the people to inform toll free no: 1926 if they find any wildlife on the outskirts of the city. The percentage of animals migrating towards urban area has increased.
