Paschim Nagpur Bangiya Samiti (PNBS) is all set for its 43rd Sri Sri Durga Puja at Agrasen Bhawan, Ravi Nagar from September 30 to October 5 with. Maa Durga is worshipped with ardent fervour and devotion on Sashti, Saptami, Asthami and Nabami.
Sindoor Utsav or Sindoor-Khela is another important tradition which is celebrated on the day of Dasami. There will be ‘Bhog’ distribution on three days as per the tradition of PNBS. Dhaki from Kolkata has added fragrance in the aradhana of Maa Durga.
All these days there will be cultural programmes in the evening from 8 pm and special attraction will be a musical choir programme on October 1 on the theme of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Before this, in the evening of Mahasasti, on October 1, inaugural pro gramme will be followed by a musical programme ‘Tumi Dhanya Dhanya Hey. On Saptami, October 2, a pro gramme offolk dance and song Loksangeet or Lokgaan will add vigour to the celebration. On Astami, October 3, a musical programme ‘Chirodiner Gaan’ will be a tribute to our renowned singers of India.
On Nabami, October 4, a drama ‘NRI’ will be staged by PNBS members. Dr Bidhan Chandra Bag, President and S P Mukherjee, General Secretary of PNBS, appealed all to come together in the spirit of broth erhood and strive to make this Puja a resounding success this year too. Treasurer Sourav Banerjee has appealed all to donate generously.
Durga Puja at Ladies Club from Oct 1
Paschim Nagpur Bengali Cultural Association is conducting 9th Shri Shri Durga Puja celebration from October 1 to 5 at Ladies Club Lawns, Civil Lines. Daily puja, push panjaliand prasad distribution will be held from 8 am to 1 pm. Mahaprasad will be distributed from 1 pm to 3 pm from October 2 to 4. Sandhya aarti will be from 7 pm to 8 pm. The inauguration of the pro gramme will be held on October 1 at 8.15 pm followed by cultural programme.
