Forest Department has organised various programmes to celebrate Wildlife Week beginning from October 1.
The inaugural function will be held on Saturday at Harisingh Hall, Seminary Hills, at 10.30 am in which YLP Rao, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Head of Forest Force), will be the chief guest. Later, Rao will inaugurate a photographic exhibition at Government Arts & Fine Arts College, Deekshabhoomi Chowk, at 12 noon.
Similarly, the department has also organised various week-long programmes such as nature trail in Balodyan, Seminary Hills, cleanliness drive, rally, wildlife poster competition, discussions etc.
Ms A Srilakshmi, Field Director, Pench Tiger Reserve, will be the chief guest of concluding function to be held on Octobert 7 at Amaltas Tourism Complex, Sillari, at 10 am and give away prizes to winners. Dr Prabhu Nath Shukla, Deputy Director of the reserve, will be the guest of honour.
