The Karwa Chauth festival will soon arrive. It always occurs on the fourth day of the Hindu lunisolar calendar’s Kartik month.
Married Hindu women observe a fast from sunrise to moonrise on this day and offer prayers for their husbands’ long lives. After seeing the moon, they break their fast and look at their husbands through a sieve with a dia.
