Pradip Date has been made the President of Vidarbha Sahitya Sangh (VSS). The decision was taken in an emergent meeting of VSS. The post of President had fallen vacant following the death of Maonhar Mhaisalkar. The meeting was chaired by General Secretary Vilas Manekar. Date was Organising Secretary of VSS, Nagpur branch.
Date is associated with VSS for the last three decades and has rich experience in social, cultural and educational sectors, besides literature. He is president of Yashvant Date Memorial Trust and is associated with various organisations, litterateurs and literature.
