Restrictions have been imposed on the fare of passenger vehicles, which hikes charges during the festival season. This is done as a large number of people travel for the Diwali festival.
Looking at the situation MSRTC has allowed contractual transporters to hike a maximum of 50 percent of the regular fare. A tariff table has also been published for the purpose. Charging more than the prescribed fare is punishable. The steps have been taken as the passengers are exploited and the transporters hike fare, which several times more than the regular charges.
In case of any problem the passengers can contact on mail-ID ‘dycommr.enf@gmail.com’, informs Assistant Road Traffic Officer, Nagpur City
