Nagpur animal lovers and animal activist’s state the order passed by the HC as to feeding of the stray dogs in the city has hurt the feelings of the animal activists. The zoophiles say their act of feeding the dogs is wholly for a selfless good deed.
Animals are targeted being the weaker and neglected sections of the society. The High courts directions are one sided says the activist.
The activist also claims there are more than 20,000 cases of brutal animal cruelty and no action has been taken as of yet on the culprits, for which even the city animal lovers and activists have come together a numerous times to protest and get justice for the speechless.
They demand nothing but justice for the dogs. ‘ They are not voiceless, we are their voice’ are the words of the city animal lovers.
In conversation with Smita Mire founder of Save speechless organisation NGO says that it is absolutely an injustice to the animals and animal activist. It isn’t valid and is baseless.
The activist said the dogs are being picked up from their original locations on the basis of fake complaints and are being dumped in the Nagpur Bhandewadi shelter, where no proper feeding takes place, no proper medical help and no ambulance service is available at any time. No crosscheck of the dogs are done in NMC Bhandewadi shelter.
