According to Race Director Mitesh Rambhia, the sixth iteration of the Nagpur Marathon will be held in Nagpur on November 27 by Adventures And You, a division of KA Connect.
This year, a social cause called “Donate Organ – Save Life” is being used to advertise the event. The marathon’s starting and finishing locations are Tirpude College and Sadar Police Station in Civil Lines, Nagpur.
Rambhia has ensured that runners from all over the country and Nagpur residents will have a thrilling course after the incredible response to all the past events. According to Rambhia, the Nagpur Marathon is the only competition in Nagpur that offers a 42-kilometer full marathon racing category.
There has been a tremendous response to the marathon. 2500 runners have signed up for the event as of this point.
The following categories for the marathon runs are planned: 5 km (dream walk/jog/run) timed-free distance; 10 km (endurance run) – 21 km RFID timed run (the Orange City run) – RFID timing and 42 kilometres (Full Marathon) run timed by RFID.
The event is free to enter for members of the police, air force, army, navy, and CRPF SRPE home guards. Additionally, winners of the 2022 Pachmarhi Monsoon Marathon and the 2019 Nagpur Marathon will not be taxed.
Rambhia remarked that this practise has been upheld ever since the inaugural Nagpur Marathon. The marathon will take place over two days, with Day One (November 26, 2022) serving as Marathon Expo Day and Day Two (November 27, 2022) serving as Marathon Race Day.
The marathon will attract about 8000 trained athletes and runners from all walks of life in India. Using RFID timing chips, all runners in the 10, 21, and 42km categories will have their times recorded electronically.
Men and women are divided into the following age groups for each race: 5km: 5-10, 11-18, 19-30, 46-60, 61 + (men and women). 15-30, 31-45, 46-60, and 61 plus kilometres (men and women). 21kms. 18-30, 31-45, 46-60, 61 plus.
