For the January 2023 batch, the Indian Air Force is accepting applications for the position of Agniveer Vayu.
On November 7 at 5 p.m., applications for the position will be accepted; they will close on November 23 at 5 p.m. On the official website, agnipathvayu.cdac.in, interested and qualified candidates may submit an online application.
The online test will be offered from January 18 through January 24, 2023.
Candidates may only apply if they were born between June 27, 2002, and December 27, 2005 (both dates inclusive).
The maximum age will be 21 as of the date of enrollment for a candidate who successfully completes all phases of the selection process.
Candidates must be single to be eligible for the position. Candidates must present a certificate proving that they are “unmarried” at the time of enrollment.
Agniveervayu will be prohibited from getting married for the duration of their four-year IAF employment. If a candidate marries during that time, they will be rejected.
Candidates who are interested in applying for Agniveervayu should have passed an intermediate/10+2/equivalent exam in Math, Physics, and English from an educational board listed as the Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE) with a minimum of 50% overall and 50% in English.
The candidate could have completed a three-year diploma programme in engineering from a government-recognized polytechnic institute with 50% overall, 50% in English, and the same in both the diploma and intermediate programmes.
The applicant must have completed a two-year vocational programme from a state board or council mentioned in the COBSE with a passing grade and 50% in either intermediate or advanced English in a non-vocational topic, such as physics or mathematics.
Candidates from non-science backgrounds must complete their intermediate coursework in any topic that has been authorised by the boards listed as COBSE with a minimum of 50% overall and 50% in English.
In their first year, the candidates will receive a customised package worth Rs 30,000; in their fourth year, the package will be worth Rs 40,000.
They won’t be able to make Provident Fund contributions and won’t be qualified for bonuses or pensions.
The applicants are urged to apply as soon as possible because the deadline for registration will not be extended.
