A leopard has been rescued by the Treatment Transit Centre (TTC) today morning, who is reportedly a victim of the road hit. According to the officials, leopard was stressed out and tiered when the team found him possibly due to dragging himself to the jungle from the spot.
There is a visible injury on the back leg of the animal due to which he was not able to get up.
Leopard has been tranquilised and will be examined for any other internal injuries only after 24 hours as the effect of the anaesthesia remains for 24 hours. The animal is conscious now but needs time to settle and stabilise.
A security guard of the Suretech Hospital is injured and is hospitalised in Suretech.
Further medical examination will be done tomorrow of the animal by Dr.Sudarshan Kakde, who works at TTC, Dr. Vinod Dhoot, who works at Gorewada Rescue Centre and D. Gautam Bhojne who works at Government Veterinary Hospital.
