Those using the underpass from Wardha Road to for Manishnagar were surprised to see about one feet deep water in the middle of the Railway under-bridge on Monday. Although the monsoon is over and the city has not received any rain during the last 15 days, the water started oozing out from the drainage under the road.
Closure of the underpass was common during the monsoon season. Even when the rains stopped water coming out of the drainage was consistently keeping a portion of the underpass wet. On Monday the commuters experienced water filled in the middle of the road.
The underpass was made to ease the traffic through the railway crossing on Somwalwada – Manishnagar road. The underpass decorated with paintings was inaugurated with pomp and show, soon turned out to be headache for the commuters.
