Director of Higher Education Dhanraj Mane has been removed from his post, following a large number of complaints against him by the students.
Mane is stated to be not fit medically.
Mumbai University Vice-Chancellor Shailendra Deolankar has been given the additional charge of the Director.
Mane has been transferred and included to work in work related to the education policy.
