Nayan Sarde, an athlete of Krida Prabodhini, Nagpur has bagged a gold medal in the 110-meter hurdles race in National Junior Athletics Competition, held at Guwahati in Assam.
Nayan recorded a time of 14.37 seconds to clinch the gold medal. The championship competition is held under the aegis of the National Athletics Federation.
Nayan was selected for the national games from the Western Zone contest. He is practising at the Sports Complex, Mankapur, Nagpur for the last three years. He is guided by Principal Shekhar Patil and Shamsher Khan of the Krida Prabodhini (Sports Academy). He was felicitated at the hands of Patil for his success.
