All the detailed information about every patient’s health, medical history, disease, medicines, surgery, blood, and other reports like MRI, CT scan, etc for patients undergoing treatment or surgery under the National Ayushman Bharat Scheme will be available at the click of the mouse in the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCHs).
These patients will be registered under a new scheme called Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA). They will be given a digital health card which will help the doctors or other authorities get all information about the patients digitally.
Patients will no longer be expected to carry the medicine prescriptions, reports, etc. There will be no paperwork. “This new system will make things much simpler and accessible for us. We will give a health ID card to every patient which will have a number to reach every detail of the patient. It will also help us and the government in keeping records for accounting,” said the GMCH Dean Dr.Raj Gajbhiye in a conversation with The Live Nagpur.
GMCH has asked beneficiaries to seek forms for registration at ndhm.go.in. Patients will have to submit a photograph, date of birth, and address while registering. The ABHA card will be made linking it to either patient’s mobile or Aadhar card.
