The winter session of the Maharashtra State Legislature in Nagpur may not last for more than a week. The session is beginning here on December 19 and the first week is dedicated to the presentation of supplementary demands and discussion over it.
The schedule for the next week, beginning December 26 is only for official work. Although the opposition has been demanding a session of at least three weeks, the decision about the work is taken in presence of their representatives.
For the last two years, the duration of the sessions was curtailed due to Corona pandemic. This year too the winter session is not expected to last for more than one week.
