Akasa Air, a brand-new airline, may soon begin operations in Nagpur with flights on the Nagpur-Mumbai route. Experts predict that this will result in lower airfares for this sector.

Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, and Visakhapatnam are among them. From December 25, the airline will also begin operating flights to Lucknow. The airline, which has its main office in Mumbai, may begin offering service to Nagpur, the third largest city in the state.
The airline made it clear that connecting Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities with metro areas was its top focus, albeit not formally confirming anything. According to sources, Akasa Air flies already between Mumbai and Pune. The airline uses Boeing 737 aircraft.
