54 Games in 15 days of KHASDAR KRIDA MAHOTSAV (#KKM5)
The season 5 of Country’s first multisport grassroots festival ‘Khasdar Krida Mahotsav’ — to be publicized as Chak de, Khelo Nagpur Khelo — will begin in the city of Oranges from January 8.
The fifth edition of this multisport discipline will be played at almost all the corners of the city from Jan 8 to 22, 2023.
The organizing committee of this unique sporting extravaganza intend to make the fourth edition of KKM bigger and better. In 2023, 54 games will be played at 62 venues of the city in KKM-5.
The dates and venue were announced at a glittering function at Suresh Bhat hall on Saturday. Over 2500 players and officials joined the event where Union Minister for Road and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari, announced the dates and various sporting disciplines that will be played across all corners of the city in the fifth edition of the sporting extravaganza and distributed the flags to the association representatives.
Bollywood actor and bodybuilder Thakur Anoop Singh, Indian wrestler Sangita Phogat and Padmabhushan, Padmashree Paralympic Gold medalist Devendra Jhajharia were the special guests for the function.

After the formal and grand inaugural ceremony on Jan 8 the actual competition begins where that particular tournament will be inaugurated.
The Khasdar Krida Mahotsav is a brainchild of Hon’ble Cabinet Minister Shri Nitinji Gadkari which provides a platform not only to the fitness enthusiasts, an amateur player but to the professional players of the city to showcase their talent in a competition format at the grassroots level.
The Chak De, Khelo Nagpur Khelo, Khasdar Krida Mahotsav is in fact a unique sports festival — Of the Nagpurian, By the Nagpurian & For the Nagpurians.
The organizing committee of the Khasdar Krida Mahotsav decided to conduct 54 games in the 15-day sporting extravaganza. The games that would be part of the fifth edition comprise of Football, Kho-Kho, Lawn Tennis, Basketball, Carrom, Athletics, Swimming, Volleyball, Badminton, Hockey, Chess, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Cycling, Girls Box Cricket, Wrestling, BodyBuilding, Divyang games, Archery, Taekwondo, Boxing, Rifle Shooting, Fencing, Malkhamb, Gymnastics, Bench Press Powerlifting, Yog Kriya, Judo, Soft Ball, Sepak Takraw, Handball, cricket, Tug of War, Marathon, marshal art, karate, aatya patya, pittu, langdi and many Indian games.
The first-of-its-kind event, a first for any city in India, to be conducted in 15 days will have 54 sports disciplines and will be played at around 62 venues. A total of 2280 teams, around 5000 officials and over 54,000 participants are expected to take part in the fifth edition of this historic sporting event.
During the concluding ceremony of this unique sports festival scheduled on Jan 22, as many as 688 Trophies, 11939 medals and a prize money of Rs 1.30 crore will be distributed amongst the podium finishers.
In addition, many individual awards will also be given during the championship. During the team event, the best player in every match will also be given an award.
