The Indian government has begun randomly screening foreign travelers arriving at airports for the coronavirus as a result of the worldwide increase in the disease starting on December 24, 2022. Sources claim that 498 overseas flights were screened in total over the last three days of December 24, 25, and 26.
1780 samples were obtained for the Covid 19 testing. 3994 samples have been collected overall. There have been 39 samples that have tested positive overall, and 39 samples have been sent for whole genome sequencing. India’s hospitals organized a Covid-19 fake drill in response to the Covid-19 increase in several other countries.
The simulation drill’s objective was to assess the level of personnel, procedural, and resource readiness for Covid-19.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya went to the Safdarjung Hospital to observe the Mock Drill. “To make sure there isn’t a Covid surge in the country, PM Narendra Modi has asked us to be careful. The Government is also preparing if the Covid cases increase. Today mock drills are being conducted across Covid Hospitals in the country to make sure people get proper treatment.”
