The Pune airport Authority has made some significant alterations to the terminal in order to handle the inflow of travellers. Three more x-ray machines have been installed at the domestic terminal, bringing the total to nine, so that travellers’ bags and bodies can be quickly checked. The CISF staff, on the other hand, has advocated for expansion. There will be an additional 41 soldiers at the airport as a result.
The authorities have been worried about the crowding at the airport for the last few days. Around 30,000 people pass through Pune Airport each day. Others complained directly to the Minister of Civil Aviation, while some even voiced their displeasure with the increasing congestion. In order to split and control the crowd, airport management has developed specific techniques.
The airport only has three international flights. The number of domestic flights is astronomically high in comparison. The airport administrations increased the domestic X-Ray machine while decreasing the international X-Ray machine due to a large number of domestic travellers. Its beneficial effects are currently clear. Approximately 25% of the audience is divided, according to the airport authorities.
Just to maintain the security of the airports and travellers, CISF soldiers are on duty twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. At the Pune Airport right now, 450 jawans work in three shifts. However, this quantity is decreasing considering the number of passengers. The airport management made the decision to hire more people till the end of the winter schedule as a result. 41 jawans were consequently propped. The airport now has ten of these soldiers on duty there. The arrival of the final 30 soldiers is anticipated for the first week of January. The more jawans on duty will hasten the process of inspecting travellers and their travel documents.
