Chetan Sharma was retained for the position of chairman of selectors when the BCCI announced the All-India Senior Selection Committee on Saturday. Sulakshana Naik, Ashok Malhotra, and Jatin Paranjape made up the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), which undertook a thorough process to choose its members.
To confirm the development, the Indian Cricket Board released an official statement.
The statement read, “The Board received approximately 600 applications after its advertisement for the five posts was issued on its official website on November 18, 2022.
Eleven people were further shortlisted by the CAC for in-person interviews. The following candidates have been recommended by the committee for the Senior Men’s National Selection Committee based on the interviews:
- Chetan Sharma
- Shiv Sundar Das (Central Zone)
- Subroto Banerjee (East Zone)
- Salil Ankola (West Zone)
- Sridharan Sharath (South Zone)
