Viraj Shinde, a specially-abled grade 4 student from Orchids The International School, Nagpur, recently won the first prize in the Ramanujan Mathematics Challenge- a National Level Maths Olympiad. He secured the 20th rank, where nearly 6000 students participated at the pan India level.
Despite suffering from Locomotor Disability, wherein his diagnosis is Kyphoscoliosis deformity with Limb Length Discrepancy that caused him 50% permanent disability, Viraj had also participated in the SOF Science Olympiad and had secured 1st position. SOF is an Educational Organization popularizing academic competition and assisting the development of competitive spirit among school children. In the SOF examination, he scored 68 in English, 88 in Maths, and 68 in Science.

Despite his physical condition, – Apart from winning many tough competitions, he continues to excel in his studies and posts new videos on his YouTube channel.
