Former union minister and prominent socialist leader Sharad Yadav passed away on Thursday night at a private hospital in Gurugram, his family informed.
Yadav, who was ailing for a while, was brought to the Fortis Memorial Research Institute in an unconscious and unresponsive state and did not have a pulse or recordable blood pressure, the hospital said in a statement.
‘He underwent CPR as per ACLS protocols. Despite best efforts, he could not be revived and was declared dead at 10.19 PM. We would like to convey our deepest condolences to his family,’ read the statement released by Fortis.
