One of the fastest trains in India is the Vande Bharat. These semi-high-speed trains connect major centres. These trains are functioning on eight routes. Additionally, the Indian Railways plans to expand these trains to a number of additional destinations. The first Vande-Bharat train was launched on the route of Delhi-Varanasi: The first Vande Bharat train was started on the Delhi-Varanasi route. The route has two stoppages at Prayagraj and Kanpur. This train’s numbers are 22435 and 22436. It operates every day of the week, excluding Monday and Wednesday.
The second route of the Vande- Bharat train is Delhi-Katra: Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Train stops at Jammu Tawi, Ludhiana and Ambala Cantt. Trains numbers are 22439 and 22440. This train doesn’t run on Monday.
The Vande Bharat Train between Mumbai and Gandhinagar began service in September 2022. It makes stops at Vadodara and Ahmedabad in addition to Mumbai and Gandhi Nagar. In approximately 6 hours, this train travels the distance between Mumbai and Gandhinagar. It has a 20901 starting number and departs from Mumbai Central. It culminated in Gandhi Nagar.. 20901 is the alternate route number.
Una-Delhi: This train departs from New Delhi and makes stops at Chandigarh, Ambala Cantt Junction, and Anandpur Sahib. This train is now travelling past Una to Andhora. The train numbers are 22447 and 22448.
The fifth train to depart was the Mysore-Chennai Vande Bharat. Between Mysore and Chennao, this Vande Bharat Express travels 479 kilometres. Less than five hours are needed to go on the journey.
This is the sixth Vande Bharat Express between Bilaspur and Nagpur. This links Nagpur to Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. These trains have the numbers 20825 and 20826. These trains make stops in Rajnandgaon, Raipur, Durg, and Gondia.
Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express: On December 30, 2022, West Bengal welcomed the seventh Vande Bharat Express train. The duration of the train’s complete journey is up to 7 hours and 30 minutes. Except for Wednesday, Howrah-New Jalpaiguri (22301)/New Jalpaiguri-Howrah (22302) trains run six days a week.
Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad Vande Bharat: This runs between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam as the eighth Vande Bharat train. In just 8 hours, it travels 698 kilometres. In addition to the two main stations, the trains also stop at Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Khammam, and Warangal.
