On Sunday afternoon, a very unexpected and surprising sighting took place of a pair of Indian wolves also called Canis lupus pallipes. The pair was spotted crossing the road near Mogarkasa lake. Sighting of these wolves is very rare in wildlife and is considered to be special.
Interestingly, the sighting of wolves in the daytime is extremely rare and uncommon. The wolves are known for their exceptional speed and endurance. They hunt their prey using different strategies. Wolves are known to be nocturnal animals.
According to Rituraj Jaiswal, a wildlife photographer, the wolves were spotted by him on his way to Mogarkasa on Hiwarbazar to Mogarkasa road while he was travelling for his work on the stretch. He spotted the wolves and waited patiently for them to cross the road.
Rituraj Jaiswal is also a wildlife lover and carries a camera during the journey. Rituraj further explained the wonderful moment by adding that the male wolf was of the usual grey colour while the female was whitish in colour.
