On Tuesday afternoon, a man in Bengaluru, an IT city, shockingly dragged a car driver on his bike around Magadi Road for about a kilometer.
An online video shows a biker dragging a man behind him while riding his scooter. While the rider is being dragged, the victim is holding onto the pillion support handle.
It is believed that the rider struck the car of the individual who was being pulled by his bike. After that, he refused to stop and made an attempt to flee the area. The driver then attempted to grab him and ended up grabbing his bike. Then, while still dangling, he was pulled behind the bike.
In the end, the biker is stopped by another biker and a rickshaw driver who were in his pursuit. The man who was dragged behind stood up. His pants were torn a bit after being dragged.
Police detain the biker as the victim is hospitalized.
The local police have taken up the matter their hands after the video went viral on the internet. The victim was hospitalized after the incident while the bike rider is held by the police.
Muthappa has been recognized as the victim who was dragged (55). He reportedly managed to flee with minor wounds.
“The victim is currently under medical treatment at a city hospital. The two-wheeler driver has been apprehended by the police at PS Govindaraj Nagar,” said DCP West Bengaluru.
