HCG units throughout India will host a hair donation drive called ‘Strands of Hope’ in honour of World Cancer Day, which is observed annually on January 4 and is a part of the #BaldAndBold movement. HCG, in collaboration with Salon and NGOs, initiated the World Cancer Day campaign in an effort to dispel the stigma associated with baldness while also supporting cancer patients with hope and courage.
The event will be held in Nagpur on February 3 and 4, 2023 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the HCG Cancer Centre close to Automotive Square. By helping cancer patients gain their confidence and self-esteem, the hair donation campaign hopes to inspire an attitude of invincibility in them. WDI (wig Designs International) will use donated hair to create and provide wigs for cancer patients as part of the event, which is being organised in collaboration with Capello Salon.
