‘Nagpur@2025’ is an initiative aiming to change the face of Nagpur and bring in a sense of ownership and pride amongst the citizens, by combining the efforts of NGOs, Corporates, Citizens and the local administration – City Corporation and the Police Department working in conjunction under a joint MOU.
The efforts will be directed at improving the City on Waste Management, Public Toilets & Conveniences, Public Spaces & Gardens, Lake Rejuvenation & Heritage Sites Conservation along with Traffic Management fronts.
Nagpur@2025 in association with NMC had planned an activity this Sunday 5th February to create awareness about cleanliness & waste management, Swachh Mohalla Competition.
This activity brought to the citizens of Nagpur the second of such activities comprising of a focussed awareness campaign led by a youth social organisation ‘Matrix Warriors’ through ‘Flash Mob & Nukkad Natak’ and plogging drive led by youth social organisations ‘Nagpur Ploggers’ & ‘Leaders Club’..
The activity received an overwhelming support & response from the local area citizens. More than 150 citizens participated in the activity. Malhar Deshpande, CEO, Nagpur@2025 interacted with the citizens and shared details of Nagpur@2025 initiative and thanked citizens for the overwhelming response. Additional Commissioner Ram Joshi explained importance of Swachh Mohalla
Competition, motivated the citizens and assured all possible help from the administration to resolve issues in the zone.
Dy. Commissioner Dr. Gajendra Mahalle, Asst Commissioner Ashok Patil, NDS members participated in the activities.
The activity commenced with a Flash Mob & Nukkad Natak at Hanuman Nagar Garden and ended at Medical Square with a plogging drive.
