Chief Justice of India (CJI) D Y Chandrachud will be in Nagpur city on February 11, 2023. The CJI will be in the city to grace the first Convocation Ceremony of the Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU).
Justice Bhushan R Gavai, Judge, Supreme Court of India, and the Chancellor of the University will be present at the function which will be held at 12.00 noon at the MNLU.
The function will be graced by the presence of Justice Sanjay V Gangapurwala, Acting Chief Justice, High Court of Bombay, and Pro-Chancellor of the university. The invitees are urged to occupy their seats by 11.30 am sharp by Prof Dr. Vijender Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of MNLU, and Dr. Ashish J Dixit, Registrar.
The program states that when guests arrive at the MNLU campus, they will be robed in ceremonial gowns. Following that will be academic possession. Prof. Dr. Virender Kumar will deliver the welcome address and present the university’s annual report.
Degrees will be conferred and Gold medals will be awarded to graduates following Justice B R Gavai’s address. The Convocation address will be delivered by CJI D Y Chandrachud.
