After providing a 30% fare reduction to students of all categories, Maha Metro Nagpur is about to introduce a new feature for all commuters. Beginning tomorrow (Saturday, February 25th), Nagpur Metro will issue Daily Passes to all commuters. The hundred rupees pass would allow commuters to make unlimited trips on any Metro line on any day.
Metro riders can use the Daily Pass to take as many rides as they want from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., the hours during which Metro services are available, on any day. The rides are available on Nagpur Metro’s Orange and Aqua lines. The Daily Pass is only valid for one person.
Purchasing a Daily Pass is as simple as purchasing a ticket. A commuter only needs to go to a metro station’s ticket window and request the same. The ticket window attendant would hand over the voucher, which would have Daily Pass printed on it. The same can then be used to travel indefinitely throughout the day.
It may be recalled that the Nagpur Metro recently began offering student discounts. Initially, students up to HSSC received a 30% discount, which was later extended to Graduate, ITI, and Diploma students (across all streams). These students are receiving the discount across all fare slabs.
As a result, after offering a 30% discount to students, Nagpur Metro has prepared yet another offer for its commuters. This Daily Pass feature would be especially useful for commuters who must make multiple trips across multiple stations for various reasons. Businessmen, traders, marketing executives, and sales representatives who travel frequently would benefit from this.
Maha Metro Nagpur has urged Nagpurians to take advantage of this new offer and avail of Daily Pass for commuting purposes.
